RAR 179 | Nightmare Spirit - Ghost in the Mirror [50 tapes]

Nightmare Spirit’s “Ghost in the Mirror” is the soundtrack to malevolent spirits haunting the world of the living; the cold breath of the past seeping under doorways to chill us in the depths of night. The third full-length from the Kentucky based artist Hellwulv–also of Black Metal project Glass Coffin– utilizes 90’s Yamaha synthesizers to conjure the fell voices of ghosts sonically inspired by Carpenter soundtracks and Era I Mortiis. Let the tracelike melodies and ethereal soundscapes lure you into the darkened corridors of a desolate house unable to shake its dark past.

Tapes will be available in person at Northeast Dungeon Siege on March 29th-31st and on Bandcamp the following Friday, April 5th. Limited to 50 hand-numbered pro-dubbed clear cassettes with black liner, A/B pad print, and double-sided 3-panel J-card.

A new Blood Tower album is always cause for celebration—the depth of vision Lord Bill packs into each gemlike song is astounding. This release gives me a feeling of watching midnight movies in a rundown theater on the edge of town with a few other brave souls. As we emerge blinking into the thick darkness all the horrors we saw onscreen start creeping out from the shadows, flapping wetly across the moon, skittering down from the trees, clutching icily at our ankles through the churning dirt.
